Feel better, look better and have an empowered birthing experience. Our Prenatal Vinyasa Yoga classes help prepare you physically, mentally, and emotionally for the process of childbirth, providing a time and space to quiet the mind and connect with your body and growing baby.
We'll focus on breath awareness during a rhythmic flow of dynamic and restorative postures, while honoring the changing needs of pregnancy through modifications and instruction on proper anatomical alignment. Prenatal Vinyasa Yoga provides a safe, supportive environment where we use the power of the breath to transform the discomforts of pregnancy, general stress and fear associated with childbirth into strength, peace of mind and joyful surrender.
This practice is beneficial for new and experienced yoga students at every stage of pregnancy. Postnatal students are also welcome to return to class with their babies! This class is a great way to connect with other mother-to-be in our community!
It is traditionally recommended that you avoid eating two hours before yoga practice but being fully present with your changing body is the yoga for pregnancy, so forget the yoga “rules” and if you are hungry, eat! Where something cozy, grab a bottle of water and come as you are. Even if you are having one of those days where all you want to do is take a nap — come take a nap on your yoga mat! You'll be surprised at how quickly your energy will begin to shift when surrounded by a community of other growing bellies.
